Karen Deans from our board is hosting another online coffee morning on Zoom:

This time we’ve got a demonstration of key word signing using Makaton. Or just bring a coffee and chat.

It’s a great chance to learn some sign language:

- saying hello, goodbye, how are you?

- learn the finger spelling alphabet

- tell someone your name

- learn signs to offer help

- talk about the weather (using signs)

And learn how signing helps people with communication difficulties to be included.

Signing is fun and is useful for any situation when communication is difficult. You already know how to sign, you just don’t know it yet.
